First-Person Interactive Virtual Reality Simulator

While some virtual reality programs are based within the world of fantasy, RunVR offers users a decidedly physical appeal. Players can run, jump and climb throughout many levels while surmounting obstacles along the way.

Basic Actions and Movements

The theory behind RunVR is rather simple. It represents a decidedly hands-on platform for anyone who is looking for a bit of physical activity while simultaneously honing their hand-eye coordination. It should also be noted that as opposed to some other VR programs, most users will not experience any type of motion sickness. The premise is to complete each level as fast as possible. The courses themselves are timed, so it is always possible to gauge one's improvement as the game progresses.

More Than an Exercise Simulator

Although it is possible to classify RunVR as a means to enjoy exercise within the virtual environment, a great deal of balance and dexterity are also required. The mechanics associated with this game are very realistic and the physics behind the movements mimic those within the physical world. This game is meant to be used in combination with the HTC Vive headset.

PROS

  • A great way to exercise while playing a virtual reality game.
  • Windows 7 and subsequent systems are supported.

CONS

  • Some feel that this game is too similar to other variants such as Climbey.
  • The environments tend to lack stimulating graphics.
